Who is Out Of Office for?
OOO is used by freelancers, vendors, agencies, and brand teams. What you can access depends on your plan and how you're invited into projects.
Do I need to set everything up before I start?
No. Most people start with one real project and expand from there. You don't need a perfect setup to see value — you need one real use case to pressure-test.
What's the fastest way to see value?
Pick one path: Event Studio if you need to pitch faster, Opportunities if you need to staff faster, or Roster if you need to organize your bench. Run something real through it in your first week.
Do I need to use every feature?
No. OOO is designed to grow with you. Most teams start with Event Studio or Opportunities, then expand to Roster and Suppliers as those workflows mature.
Is Out Of Office meant to replace our existing tools?
No. OOO is designed to integrate with your workflow, not replace it. It's not trying to be your Asana or your accounting tool.
How do freelancers and vendors interact with the platform?
They're invited intentionally by organizations — not browsing a public job board. Freelancers apply to specific opportunities, maintain their profiles, and build relationships through the platform. Vendors are discoverable via Suppliers listings.
Who controls what information is shared?
Organizations control what their roster members see. Freelancer profiles are visible only to the orgs that have invited them (unless they publish a public portfolio). Internal org notes are never shared with freelancers.
Who handles contracts, rates, and terms?
Directly between you and the organization. OOO facilitates the connection and can handle invoicing and payments — but the working relationship and terms belong to the parties involved.
When does Concierge support apply?
Concierge is available on Pass and above. It's used when you need talent outside your existing roster — OOO hand-selects and invites relevant freelancers for a specific project.
What plan do I need to add my own freelancers or vendors?
Pro or above. Pass gives you Concierge access; Pro lets you invite and manage your own private roster.
